Patti Flather is an award-winning writer of plays, fiction and screenplays. Recent projects include the collaborative vuntutstories.ca radio plays and booklets (Gwaandak Theatre/Vuntut Gwitchin Government). Patti's play Paradise premiered in the Yukon and toured nationally (Gwaandak/MT Space); it's published with Playwrights Canada Press. Her fiction collection Such A Lovely Afternoon is forthcoming in 2021 and she's working on her first novel. Patti has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of B.C.. She co-founded Gwaandak Theatre, dedicated to Indigenous and northern voices, and was artistic director for two decades. 

Originally from North Vancouver, Patti lives in Whitehorse. She loves Yukon plants and long walks and is thrilled to be part of Plant Encounters.
