Labrador Tea

by Miriam Behman

Title: Imprints

Dimension: 4" x 4"

Imprints is a small collection of experimental botanical prints on cotton and linen. Labrador tea is a fugitive dye, meaning it is fleeting and fades quickly; for this reason it is only one of the various plants used to make the shapes and colours on each of the fabric pages.

Other plants used include Yarrow, Goldenrod, Marigold and Fireweed.

These small samples have been bound using a Coptic binding stitch, and the paper is homemade using scrap paper and Labrador Tea.
